Flew back into Philadelphia this afternoon.
Had meetings tonight with Samantha Barczak and Thomas Gant the Director’s of our school (The Philadelphia Ballet School) on how the various summer courses are going. Caught up by phone and e-mail with members of our Steering Committee on BalletFleming’s not for profit status (which is in process). Tossed 3 weeks worth of travel clothes into the laundry and took my beloved dog Layla for a run around the park.
In August we start Master Classes in Tampa for Gaspar the Pirate Ballet. I need to start work on The Phantom Ballet for Brandywine Ballet and we have a small fund raising performance with The Long Island Ballet Theatre at the Harry Chapin Theatre in Huntington.
BalletFleming begins rehearsals at the end of August for our first real performance series in Philadelphia, September 14th and 15th at the Painted Bride Theatre. We will be doing a couple of new ballets and a revival.
I leave tomorrow for 2 weeks of Master Classes with the Huntsville Ballet School in Alabama. Flying to Boca Raton in the middle of that for the performances of Playball there.
I promise to write more about all these adventures in the days to come.
