Yesterday, the company performed at a Nutcracker Tea hosted by The Daughters of Penelope at the Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, NJ. The tea was to benefit several causes including, The Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). We performed excerpts from “The Nutcracker”, including: Snow, the Sugar Plum Fairy variation, Chinese Tea, Arabian, and Flowers. The place was decorated so beautifully. There were Nutcrackers, snowflakes, and twinkling lights everywhere. Everyone in attendance seemed to enjoy the performance. All of this was made possible by Isa Velez, one of BalletFleming’s greatest supporters. (She is like our fairy godmother!) Also, a huge thank you to Juan Irizarry for coming out to take photos of our performance. He is the man behind Philadelphia Dance Photo Project. Included in this post are just a few of the photos that he took during the performance. Also, check out his Facebook and Instagram!

Today, we started back up with rehearsals for “Dancing in a Winter Wonderland” – a Holiday Show by BalletFleming. Come out Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday, November 29th to see a show that is sure to make your spirits bright! The performance will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church on 20th and Christian Streets at 2pm and again at 7pm. The 2pm show will feature the Philadelphia Ballet School’s Tiny Toes class, which I’m very exited about! (They have been working very hard!)

11 days until the Holiday Show!!!
